Welcome to the Shaper’s Natural Environment module!
The initial development of this module has been supported by Natural England and delivered in partnership with Sustainability South West. Over time we hope to evolve more resources with a range of partners who have a stake in the sustainable management of the South West’s natural environment.
Resources already available within this module are:
• A sustainability checklist for the natural environment (see right) – a resource for anyone working in the natural environment field (or involved in the development of the natural environment in their local area) to support them to maximise the wider sustainability benefits of their project, plan or strategy
• A special area for Natural England staff and partners which outlines how NE strategic outcomes can be delivered in a way that supports the region’s 10 sustainability principles (as housed by the Shaper). Guidance has a particular emphasis on the NE’s role in the conservation, enhancement and enjoyment of the natural environment.
• An area containing links to key websites and resources.
